We run a non-profit organization headquartered in Gary, IN, with the goal to rejuvenate its community by addressing the issue of illegally dumped trash. Through our initiative, we aim to offer no-cost tree removal and trimming services to the disenfranchised residents of the area. Our primary focus lies in promoting redevelopment, restoration, and neighborhood beautification.
Central to our strategy is the engagement of at-risk youths and ex-felons in community cleanup efforts. By involving these individuals, we not only foster a sense of responsibility but also provide them with opportunities for positive involvement in their neighborhoods. Through our neighborhood beautification initiative, we seek to restore beauty, safety, and stability to the community.
Operating as a nonprofit, we rely solely on grants and donations to sustain our activities. Our goal is to instill confidence in the community, enhance the aesthetic appeal of neighborhoods, elevate property values, and reshape residents' perspectives. Ultimately, we aspire to pave the way for the development of new, affordable housing options.
Our target areas include locations plagued by illegally dumped trash, such as alleys, abandoned buildings (e.g. schools), dead-end streets, unsecured lots, and areas saturated with recyclable products, tires, and other debris.

Community Initiative

Dumping With Integrity (DWI) is a two fold program HBGDevelopment will initiate to mitigate the illegal dumping of trash in the city of Gary and other cities. DWI’s intent will be to encourage residents to dump their trash in designated areas provided by our organization. We will obtain numerous dumpsters and have them placed in locations for residents to dump at no cost or for a donation. Donations are optional, not a requirement to dump.
